Apparently, this is one of the most common phrases heard by people who struggle with Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Again, I don’t like the daily “here’s my life” approach to blogging, but I’ve been asked a lot of questions over the last few days, and I want to attempt to answer them here.

Have You Gotten Multiple Opinions?
Probably too many 🙂
Have You Considered Other Options For Treatment?
Treatment with medicine is always the first option, and unfortunately, my condition is not responding to medicine. Other options, besides the surgery, are all damaging options. That means that they use different techniques to either damage or kill the nerve so that I can’t feel.
Why Don’t You Wait Til Sometime in 2014 to get Obamacare to Cover It?
Uhm, because I feel like someone is stabbing me in my face 24/7, and I don’t sleep more than an hour at a time each night. My life is pretty much on hold. Also, who knows how effective that program will be or how long it would take?
Will This Kill You?
This condition is not life threatening, it is life altering. It is nicknamed “the suicide disease” for it’s ability to make people go crazy, and “the cancer that doesn’t kill” for it’s ability to wear your body down.
How Can People Help?

In other news, Alabama stomped LSU yesterday. That makes my heart happy:)
