One child of God.
These are the ones Jesus died for.
What will we do for them? Jesus says to us that whatever we do unto one of the least of these, we have done to Him, also.
So what will we do to Jesus?
Will we curse Him and push Him aside as we go about our lives? Will we ignore Him, saying we have more important things to do? Will we mock Him, saying we are better than Him? Will we deny Him food, saying we have nothing to give? Will we be cruel to Him, saying He is a bother? Will we laugh at Him, saying He is foolish?
Or will we love Him?
Will we embrace Him, offering Him the love He has given us? Will we welcome Him, saying there is nothing more important than Him in that moment? Will we comfort Him, sharing in our weaknesses? Will we feed Him, saying none should go hungry? Will we be kind to Him, because He deserves it? Will we respect Him, knowing He is worth it?
How long, church, will we ignore the cries of the one while we focus on a ministry for thousands?
Jesus never ignored the one in front of Him, saying He had ministry to do. The one in front of Him was His ministry.
Are we ready to sacrifice our own ambitions to radically love the one?
